On behalf of the Mr. Rekieta, Troop Committee Chair, Im happy to announce that Walter Virden has accepted the appointment to the position of Troop 17 Scoutmaster. We want to welcome him and thank him for taking on this new responsibility. We also want to thank Mr. Harveson for his service as Scoutmaster. We greatly appreciate his service and commitment to the youth in Troop 17! Under Mr. Harvesons leadership, we saw a growth in both recruiting and retainment, especially in our younger Scouts. These efforts have ensured that Troop 17 will continue to be a healthy scouting unit for years to come. And finally, some words from our new Scoutmaster, Mr. VirdenIm honored to serve as Scoutmaster of Troop 17, a traditional boy led troop. I follow the path of many distinguished scout leaders before me. It is a rewarding opportunity, and I will do my best to continue the tradition with the help of others. Thank you, Mr. Turner
