Thanks to everyone for helping out at the Blue and Gold this past Saturday. Thanks to Mr. Rekeita for filling in for me while I was out of town. I heard it was a success and everyone did Troop 17 proud.

Just another reminder to PLEASE sign-up for the Pack 350 Blue and Gold Banquet.
on Saturday, Feb. 24. 2-7 p.m. at Arblorlawn Methodist Church. A banquet like this takes the entire troop. If the scout cant stay the entire time, come early to set-up or come later to help clean-up. Just come. We need parents, too! As in my last message, I would like to get an adult to learn how to put on these events. This is especially true this time because unfortunately, I now have to be out of town. Mr. Rekieta could use the help. I will have hand-outs at the scout meeting along with directions on the best way to cook the donated lasagnas. Thanks, Mr. Taylor

It is that time of year again where we cater the Blue and Gold Banquet for Pack 350. It will be Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Arborlawn Methodist Church on Hulen Street. The banquet itself is from 5-7 pm. There will be set-up time and clean-up before and after. This is a mandatory troop event. Sign up is now available on line. As in the past, donations of lasagnas will be greatly appreciated. We are also in need of some vegetarian lasagnas. Lastly, I would love a parent or two to assist me in putting on this event. Our success is being able to replace ourselves. I have already put a binder together to make the transition easier. Thanks, Mr. Taylor |

Report time is 11:30. At this point we have 4 adults signed up and 0 scouts. I need 12-15 scouts to work this game. Please sign ASAP. There will be a sign up sheet at tonights meeting to facilitate signing up or you can sign up on the troop website or by calling/texting/emailing me. Scouts--there should be no school activities that keep you from working this game. There are several of you that have worked little or no games this year. You know who you are...Please sign up and work this game. The Troop 17 participation expectation for fundraising is the same as it is for camping and meetings--50% minimum. TCU Concession Stand Update--The game is less that 48 hours away and at this point we only have 3 scouts and 5 adults signed up to work the game. We need 20 total workers to properly staff the concession stand. I believe that there will be opportunity for some people to leave the game after halftime again this week. So please come a little later and leave a little earlier if that works better for your schedule. As always report to Gate 4 in your Class B uniform and with your T17 hat to sign in and get your wrist band to gain access to the stadium. Report time is 7am. I will have donuts there for those that did not get enough thanksgiving pie on Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving and see you on Friday morning! Mr Harveson. 817.320.6700 bharveson@icloud.com

Id like to thank all those that were there last week and encourage more to participate for the next game. We had only 6 scouts and 8 adults (half of the adults dont even have kids in Scouts anymore). Moving ahead for the rest of the season, please do your part to work the games. TCU is away this Saturday. The next game is on the 21st (time is still TBD). I will send an email update once I have the game time. In the meantime please mark your calendar and REGISTER for the game on the 21st. This will be TCU Homecoming so we need ALL HANDS ON DECK to manage the crowds.
Thanks,
Mr. Harveson
